Get LCD Monitor Information for a better purchase !LCD Monitor ? What are you saying ?If a new display is on your horizon, you may want to consider an LCD flat panel model this time around. There are several advantages to choosing an LCD monitor over a traditional CRT display, just as there are advantages to choosing a CRT model over a flat panel. It all comes down to space, price and usability.
One of the major advances in LCD technology over
the past year has to do with image quality. In the past, flat
panel displays looked best when viewed head-on, but as you changed
your viewing angle, the picture would fade and become washed out.
Today, most LCD screens can be viewed from a 45-degree to a
90-degree angle with no discernable loss of picture quality. Also,
most of today’s LCD displays are capable of 24-bit color. This has
improved the flat panel’s depth of color, although CRTs are
capable of higher contrast rates and do a better job of displaying
true colors.
When shopping for an LCD monitor, be sure to choose
one that will support 24-bit color and uses an active-matrix TFT
panel capable of at least 1024 x 768 resolution (1600 x 1200 is
ideal, but may not be necessary depending on your applications).
Other factors to consider are built-in options such as on-screen
controls (brightness, contrast and so forth), integrated speakers
and picture-in-picture capabilities.
If you want to make the most of your workspace, an LCD monitor is a lightweight, flexible alternative to the traditional CRT, which could end up saving you money in the long run. More technology Websites
